Out in the misty cold!

Enjoyed a mini kids shoot last weekend at a local park. Woke to thick fog though and was worried we would have to rearrange. As I drove over the tops to Skipton the sun suddenly shone through the mist and everything looked eerie and unusual. Skipton was misty but it actually created a nice diffused light so we went ahead with the photos. Made use of most of the park and the leaves!! It was freezing and I could hardly feel my fingers towards the end. Worth it for some lovely shots though.

Danefield Forest, Otley

The most recent autumn pre wedding shoot was in Danefield Forest at Otley, with Amanda and Mark. It was a family affair and the kids came along for the shoot. Its amazing how the trees look so different within just 2 weeks, lots of great autumn colour around. It was cloudy but dry so we took a wander through the forest and had a catch up on the wedding day plans. Charlotte, Dan and Maisie seemed a bit worried about having to pose for the camera, but they must have been kidding, they were naturals! We had a good laugh and got some great individual portraits.

Thanks to Carl at wibblywebbly for all your great design ideas and hard work!

So a quick catch up with what's been happening recently.........
I have been really busy with pre wedding shoots lately, trying to make the most of the amazing autumnal colours. Bolton Abbey Estate and Danefield Forest have been great locations with their colourful backgrounds and will be a great contrast to the early spring wedding images for my 2012 brides and grooms.

Really enjoyed the shoot with Rosie and Peter at Bolton Abbey, the light was just gorgeous and we were so lucky with the late afternoon weather. We started out at the Pavillion and then walked through the fields to the ruins and river. Just as we were finishing, the sun broke through briefly and we got some gorgeous images. Amazing light! We made a quick dash back to the car before the car park closed!

Naomi and Richard also chose Bolton Abbey and again we were lucky with the weather, we made use of the ruins and the beaches and bridges. It was a little windy but we had a great time. Not long now until the wedding!
